About Me
I am the Partnerships full time hockey coach. I have been involved with hockey from an extremely young age. With my parents being keen players I could be seen with a hockey stick in my hand from the minute I could walk! My passion for hockey continued throughout my childhood and i went on to represent England at junior level and more recently Loughborough University whilst completing my degree.
In my first full time coaching role I am keen to assist teachers in South Cambs with their subject knoweldge through curriculum support and after school clubs. I am also eager to pass on my love and enthusiasm for hockey and get as many young people as possible playing the game in after school and community clubs.
Availability: All day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
This Term's Focus
In The Community
There are lots of opportunities for juniors to get involved in hockey across the district with a number of local clubs running strong junior sections. You can download a flyer here with contact information on for all of the local junior clubs.
If you are a teacher whom I have supported and you would like some further ideas on teaching hockey skills and activities in your lessons you might find the information which you can download here useful. This was written by Keiran Williams when he was a community coach for Cambs SSP and he kindly agreed to share this with schools. #
England Hockey have a brand new game called 'Quicksticks' which has been designed specifically for Primary Schools and is aimed at 7-11 year olds. It is fast, safe and exciting and has been designed so that teachers with little or no hockey knowledge or background can deliver the game. To find out more visit their website where you can also download a copy of the rules, order a curriculum resource and challenge cards.
