Course Aims: This course aims to give qualified and trainee teachers
the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver
enjoyable and engaging lessons that focus on
encouraging maximum participation and increasing
understanding, skill acquisition, fitness and enjoyment.
Based on the Elevating Athletics teaching resource, it
demonstrates progression across age groups in generic and
athletic specific running, jumping and throwing activities.
It focuses upon the ongoing acquisition and
further development of the fundamental movement
skills that underpin athleticism. It highlights progressions
for students of all abilities, presenting clear technical
models and safe and inclusive teaching methodologies.

There is a charge of £25 to attend this course. Level 2 - Full Memmbers of South cambs SSP will receive a 50% discount off the course price

Primary School Tennis Teachers Course
Monday 14th May 2012

Venue: Queen Emmas Primary School, Gunhild Way, Cambridge
Provider: South Cambs SSP
Course Aims: Designed to give primary school teachers the confidence and tools to deliver tennis to a class of children in a small space. The course is supported by an innovative DVD, which is pupil facing and delivers and demonstrates the activities directly to the children, allowing teachers to do what they do best, teach!

All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance and schools tennis DVD. Each school attending will also receive a FREE equipment bag including 30 racquets, 30 mini tennis balls and a portable net! (Please note: schools that have received this equipment pack in the past will not receive another set, however they will receive a top up set of balls and racquets)

There is a charge of £40 for this course (50% discount for Level 2 Members of South Cambs SSP)
