Year 5/6 Quicksticks Hockey

4 March from 10:00 am - 3:15 pm


This event is part of the School Games programme and is open to all schools in the Partnership. Quicksticks is a mini version of hockey developed by England Hockey to introduce the game to primary school pupils.

Again this year we will be holding two competitions on the same day, one in the morning (10am – 12pm) and one in the afternoon (1pm – 3.15pm), please select below which competition you wish to enter.

One winning team from the morning competition and one winning team from the afternoon competition will go forward to represent South Cambs SSP at the County School Games Spring Finals on Thursday 25th  June 2020.


Simple rules:IMG_7078

  • Year 5/6 mixed teams
  • Squads of 6 players made up of 3 girls and 3 boys
  • 4-a-side with 2 girls and 2 boys on the pitch at all times
  • No goalkeepers

More information regarding rules and format of the tournament will be sent out closer to the event but schools are encouraged to enter early as there are only a limited number of entries for this competition.
